General trademark guidelines

You may use the VOTISODES trademark of Ballot Entertainment, LLC (the "Company") to identify any services of the Company, www.votisodes.com (the "Website"), or your User Submission (as defined in the Terms of Use) posted on the Website solely to the extent there is an outstanding vote pending for your show on the Website, provided you adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Your use is solely limited to the User Submission that has a pending and outstanding voting period on the Votisodes Website.

2. The use of the VOTISODES mark will not extend beyond the duration of any outstanding vote pending on the Website for your User Submission.

3. You obtain the expressed written permission of the Company prior to conducting any advertising in any print publications or on television or cable.

4. You may not incorporate or include the Company’s trademarks in your company name, product name, domain name, or in the name of your service.

5. An appropriate generic term must appear after the trademark the first time it appears in a printed piece, and as often as possible after that. For examples, "Votisodes" must be used with "series", "show", "website" or "episode".

6. Your product name may not be confusingly similar to any of the Company's trademarks.

7. Your use may not be obscene or pornographic, and may not be disparaging, defamatory, or libelous to the Company, any of its products, services, or any other person or entity.

8. Your User Submission and use of the Votisodes Website is in full compliance with the Terms of Use.

9. Your use may not directly or indirectly imply the Company's sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement of your product or service.

10. Reference to the trademark of the Company may not be the most prominent visual element on your product or service. Your company name and/or logo, your product or service name, and your graphics should be significantly larger than the reference to the trademark of the Company.

11. You may not shorten or abbreviate VOTISODES.

12. You include the following trademark attribution statement: "VOTISODES and YOU SHAPE THE STORY are either registered trademarks or trademarks of Ballot Entertainment, LLC in the United States and/or other countries."

Third-party producers on Votisodes may need to comply with additional guidelines. All other requests require written permission. If other permission is required, please contact us. Please allow two weeks for your request to be processed.

Proper use of the Votisodes™ trademark

Trademarks help protect corporate and product identity, and Votisodes™ is one of the Company's most valuable trademarks. By following the below guidelines, you can help the Company protect the Votisodes brand name.

The Votisodes trademark must never be used as a common verb or as a noun. The Votisodes trademark should always be capitalized and should never be used in possessive form, or as a slang term. It should be used as an adjective to describe the product, and should never be used in abbreviated form. The following examples illustrate these rules:

 

Trademarks are not verbs.

   
 

CORRECT: The episode was made on Votisodes™ website.

   
 

INCORRECT: The episode was votisoded.

Trademarks are not nouns.

   
 

CORRECT: The Votisodes program pokes fun at the Senator.

   
 

INCORRECT: The Votisode pokes fun at the Senator.

Always capitalize and use trademarks in their correct form.

   
 

CORRECT: The Votisodes series is number 1.

   
 

INCORRECT: The votisodes series is number 1.

   

Trademarks must never be used as slang terms.

   
 

CORRECT: Those who use Votisodes™ to develop programs and obtain viewer feedback see their work as an art form.

   
 

INCORRECT: A Votisoder sees his hobby as an art form.

   
 

INCORRECT: My hobby is Votisoding.

Trademarks must never be used in possessive form.

   
 

CORRECT: The new features in Votisodes™ are impressive.

   
 

INCORRECT: Votisodes's features are impressive.

Trademarks are proper adjectives and should be followed by the generic terms they describe.

   
 

CORRECT: The program was made using Votisodes™ features.

   
 

INCORRECT: The program was made using Votisodes.

Trademarks must never be abbreviated.

   
 

CORRECT: Take a look at the new features in Votisodes™ website.

   
 

INCORRECT: Take a look at the new features in VS.

The trademark owner should be identified whenever possible.

   
 

Votisodes is a trademarks of Ballot Entertainment, LLC in the United States and/or other countries.

Votisodes trademark may never be used in the titles of programs without the expressed permission of the Company.
