Create your own Votisodes Series!
OK, lets get serious. You’ve toured around the site – voted on some things. Now its time to make your own Votisodes Series.
What you need to know
First off – its important to know that creating a Votisodes Series is not quite the same as throwing video up on some other video sharing site. This is not a “one and done” setup. When you start a series here at Votisodes.com, you are making a commitment to producing multiple episodes. These episodes will be produced in response to voter feedback over time. You’ll need to know that you can and will remain committed to producing your series for its lifespan – whatever you choose that to be.
Enough of the lecture – we’re sounding like parents. Just know that to keep the Votisodes community strong, we’re counting on you to live up to the commitment of producing a series. Our voting community is counting on seeing that next episode, so make sure you’ve got your ducks in a row and lets get crackin’!
Preparation
As we hope you can tell, we’re all about keeping the place neat & tidy around here. We want to feature the creativity and unique interaction between our producers and our voters – so we don’t use misleading video frame captures to feature our episodes. We rely on you to design your Series Cover Art (think of it more like the “album cover art” you see at your favorite online music store). If you just want to use a snapshot, that’s ok, but take some time to prepare your Series, design the cover art, and off we go!
To get ready to produce your episode, you’ll need:
- Cover Art – a square JPEG, PNG, or GIF
- Series Title & Description – think it through – tell your voters why they should watch!
- Genre – what type of series is this?
- Frequency – How often will you create episodes?
